Conference Theme: Embracing innovative development of oceans

 

Given the fact that information of all sorts about the ocean is the key element in the development of marine science and technology, this conference will be convened under the theme of new means and methods of information processing in this field.

In order to implement the strategy of building China into a maritime power, promote innovation in China’s marine science and technology and strengthen the development of first-class disciplines in marine science, the 2022 International Conference on Information Processing in Ocean Science and Technology (ICIPOST), sponsored by the College of Meteorology and Oceanology, National University of Defense Technology, organized by the Department of Marine Science and Technology, co-sponsored by State Key Laboratory of Science and Technology (China), State Key Laboratory of Satellite Ocean Environment Dynamics (China), Key Laboratory of Marine Science and Numerical Modeling (MNR, China), Key Laboratory of Coastal Disaster and Protection (Hohai University; Ministry of Education), College of Oceanic and Atmospheric Sciences (Ocean University of China), College of Ocean and Earth Sciences (Xiamen University, China), School of Geosciences and Info-Physics (Central South University, China), College of Ocean and Meteorology (Guangdong Ocean University, China), School of Marine Sciences (Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology, China), School of Hydraulic and Environmental Engineering (Changsha University of Science and Technology), Observation and Research Station of Yangtze River Delta Marine Ecosystems (Ministry of Natural Resources), will be held in Empark Grand Hotel Changsha from September 23 to 25, 2022. The organizing committee will keep a close watch on the dynamics of the pandemic and have the conference rescheduled if necessary).

The Organizing Committee will be inviting experts in related fields such as Marine science, Marine technology, Marine engineering, Marine resource exploration and application, Marine equipment R&D and manufacturing for academic exchanges. The Conference will include discussions on topics such as ocean climate, air-sea interaction, ocean mesoscale and small-scale processes, marine data analysis and processing, marine environmental forecasting, marine environmental support, marine exploration technology, marine optics, marine acoustics, marine artificial intelligence, and methods for teaching reform of marine science-related majors with a view to promoting the common development of military and civil industries, universities and research institutes.

海洋中的各类信息是海洋科学与技术发展的关键要素，本次会议的主题是海洋科学与技术领域信息处理的新方法和新手段。

为落实建设海洋强国战略, 促进我国海洋科学和技术的创新发展, 加强海洋科学一流学科专业建设. 由国防科技大学气象海洋学院主办、海洋科学与技术系承办, 国家重点实验室-水下测控技术重点实验室, 卫星海洋环境动力学国家重点实验室, 自然资源部海洋环境科学与数值模拟重点实验室, 海岸灾害及防护教育部重点实验室(河海大学), 中国海洋大学海洋与大气学院, 厦门大学海洋与地球学院, 中南大学地球科学与信息物理学院, 广东海洋大学海洋与气象学院, 南京信息工程大学海洋科学学院, 长沙理工大学水利与环境学院, 自然资源部长三角海洋生态环境野外科学观测研究站等协办的2022年海洋科技信息处理国际会议 (ICIPOST 2022), 拟于2022年9月23日-25日在长沙世纪金源大酒店召开(组委会将严密关注疫情发展动态，必要时将调整会议时间).

组委会将邀请海洋科学、海洋技术、海洋工程、海洋资源开发与应用、海洋装备研发与制造等相关领域的专家进行学术交流。会议将主要围绕海洋气候、海气相互作用、海洋中小尺度过程、海洋资料分析与处理、海洋环境预报、海洋环境保障、海洋探测技术、海洋光学技术、海洋声学技术、海洋人工智能技术，以及海洋科学相关专业教学改革方法等方面开展专题研讨，以推动军地产学研各界共同发展。
